A message from the MCBA President February 1, 2011 In business, success can often depend on what you know and who you know. This is not a new idea, business associations, chambers, and networking groups survive on the need to realize these objectives for their members. The Mill Creek Business Association will put you in touch with new customers and clients, but will also provide practical business support, new ways to market, and increase your influence in the community. Membership also means staying on top of what is happening so that you can take advantage of opportunities rather than reacting to change. As the association has grown the demands to provide more value for our members has also increased. To this end the MCBA board has just approved a 2011 budget that will provide more marketing funds to continue to promote "shop local," to acquire more business competencies through knowledgeable speakers, and broaden the scope of influence by offering more ways to network to even more businesses owners. MCBA membership also offers a variety of ways to gain exposure, from mini-tradeshows to on-line advertising to targeted sponsorships. Add a comment

2010 MCBA Holiday Party a Tough Act to Follow

The Association’s annual Christmas party was Friday night, December 3rd at My Garden Nursery. Owners Bill Raynolds and Jenny Gunderson were amazing hosts. In addition to everything else he did, Bill served as our bartender. The holiday décor at the nursery was absolutely stunning and Bill and Jenny’s gracious hospitality and warm staff truly made this first-ever evening version of the event one to remember. Guests frequently commented on the beautiful surroundings during the networking and many of us took home gifts and decorations that night. Add a comment
